For over 12 years I have lived with low back pain with the assumption this is just the way life will be. Several surgeons had said surgery was inevitable but there was no guarantee that I would be better or worse. So when I heard about Spinal Decompression I was skeptical to say the least. The difference this treatment has made is remarkable. A couple of months ago I could ride my motorcycle no more then 100 miles before the pain forced me to stop for a break. Since my treatment I have ridden to Daytona Beach twice!!

Two trips over 1200 miles with absolutely no pain. I’m still amazed each morning when I get out of bed and can walk normal and pain free, before spinal decompression treatment the pain in the morning was tough to deal with. If you’re living with back or neck pain you can stop, the answer is Spinal Decompression.

I wanted to let you know how great my back has been feeling since I have started the decompression treatments. I have been bothered with sciatica on and off for years and since starting the treatments, I have only had one minor episode in the last six weeks and that was on a long car trip. It has been so nice not to have to deal with the pain, and my back has felt more flexible. I have been able to garden for longer periods of time and have greatly enjoyed my time outdoors. I  would  highly  recommend  this for those with lower back pain that are candidates. Thank you for staying up on the latest treatments.

My name is Carole. I am a patient of Dr. Adams and started Spinal Decompression on May 31, 2006. I completed the treatment approximately 6 weeks  later, ending July 14th. I noticed a slight difference from the very beginning and greater differences each week throughout the treatment. I can honestly say when the treatment was finished, I am more then 95% pain free. The Spinal Decompression not only relieved the pain from the bulging disc problem, but amazingly it corrected other problems as well. I’ve had scoliosis all my life. The natural aging process includes osteoporosis, arthritis, and aching muscles, which aggravated the scoliosis even more. During the treatment I noticed those areas seem like they were back to normal. I believe the Spinal Decompression caused a balance to my body, which I never had before due to the curvature of my spine. It did not correct the scoliosis, but seemed to lessen the pressure. I am happy I had the opportunity the latest break thru for chronic back pain suffers like myself. I sleep better, stay active most of the day and enjoy being pain free for the first time in 30 years. I feel the 20 session treatment is necessary since the greatest impact became most apparent at the end of the sessions.

In the middle of June this year, my wife and I took a 6,200 mile trip across the country on our motorcycle. With an average of 500 miles per day needless to say we were quite tired and slightly sore at the end of each days ride. That’s to be expected. I presume. The next to last leg of this trip was from Saint Louis, Missouri into Memphis, Tennessee for a two day stay touring Grace land and Beal Street. On the second morning of our stay, as we were loading up to head home I noticed my neck was very sore. This being a very long ride home into Statesville we decided to stay one more night on the road in Knoxville. This was also due to the fact that now I was beginning to be in real pain. That night the pain became almost unbearable and sleeping in a bed as normal was out of the question. My entire neck, shoulders and arms were for the most part frozen in place. I could barely move. I had never before felt such pain. My wife was concerned and wanted to call 911. For the life of me I couldn’t understand what was happening, but we did finally make it home after leaving late as I tried to prepare myself for this torturous ride home. After several days, five I think, I was not even close to getting better. I still was unable to sleep in my bed and made an appointment with our family doctor. After his examination he determined that I had strained and pulled muscles in my neck, sounded fair enough to me. So I let him give me steroid shots across my back and went home with muscle relaxers. A week went by and I was still no better. Everyone I talked to said I needed a chiropractor. Having never been to one I was game to try.

Dr. Adams saw me the next day and after X-raying my spine showed me where I had a compressed disk in my neck. Sounded fair enough to me. He gave me a slight adjustment and then using an eight pound bag of water and a sling under my chin gently applied an upwards pull on my neck. Not in two and a half weeks had I felt such relief. That was it I needed to have my disc decompressed. He prescribed a treatment of 15 sessions on his decompression machine. The process being to stretch the vertebrae apart allowing the disc to rejuvenate itself. And I believe has with out a doubt has been done. Without this treatment I can’t really say what kind of shape I would be in, but I’m willing to bet it would not be good. After my second session I began getting relief and on about the fifth visit I was finally able to sleep in my bed for the first time in about six weeks. Its hard to believe all this happened as a result of an accident I had over 27 years ago. I never had a problem up to now, and this decompression is supposed to keep it from ever happening again. All I know is that without this treatment I would be in bad shape and now I’m back to ridding my motorcycle again and sleeping great. My thanks again to Doc and his great staff.
